![]() ![]() No quarantine, no hazmat team, they just let him leave. ![]() Why does the drug work for Lithgow for 5 full years before being rejected by the body? If anything, a 5+ year temporary cure still sounds like a marketable product.īecause the movie was written that way? Not really sure what your complaint here is or how this is a plot hole.ĭid Gen Sys honestly see nothing wrong with building a virus that can bypass the immune system? Even worse, when the lab assistant was exposed to it without a mask, he just walks out of the building. What do you mean by "protection" anyway? Lock him in a cage? He didn't think of Ceaser as something that needed to be caged up. Both of which I feel you probably would have complained about just as much.įranco's character seemed to have almost no protection to keep Ceasar from getting out of the house. Maybe, but the alternative would have been time lapse or a montage. It's a super-miracle drug beyond any realistic reach of science. The fact that ALZ-112 just works overnight was just bad writing. I'm not going to start saying they are faking. My grandparents don't always wear their glasses either. I thought he did fine, and never noticed the glasses. Why did he only need doofy glasses when he was sick? Lithgow's performance of an Alzheimer's patient was weak & generally poorly executed. The ape had to bust through like 4 rooms to get there, and drop down a story. Why did the laboratory have so little protection? One ape gets loose, and it's only a hop, skip, and a jump away from the board of executives. How did a group of ape experts completely miss the fact that one of their subjects was not just pregnant, but gave birth overnight? But instead, it's a movie that requires an incredible suspension of disbelief, yet takes itself extremely seriously. If the film was just another intelligent-ape movie that was unattached to Potatoes, it could've been great. Overall, I just thought that it was a well-made film, with fine CGI, and a great performance by Andy Serkis - but it's forced to tie everything back in with the original film.
